                               RESOLUTION NO. 18859
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                   EXECUTE A CONSENT DECREE WITH THE
                   ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY AND OTHER
                   POTENTIALLY RESPONSIBLE PARTIES CONCERNING
                   THE REMEDIATION OF THE AMNICOLA DUMP AND
                   AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO RETAIN CONSULTANTS
                   AND TO INCUR ALL REASONABLE NECESSARY
                   EXPENSES THEREBY INCURRED.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to execute a Consent Decree with the Environmental Protection
       Agency and other potentially responsible parties concerning the
       remediation of the Amnicola Dump;
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor be and is hereby
       authorized to retain consultants and to incur all reasonable
       necessary expenses thereby incurred.
